I am delighted that Chaosium has released the book Lands of RuneQuest: Sartar, covering the mountainous kingdom of that name in the RuneQuest setting of Glorantha. It was a lot of fun to work with Jeff Richard, Jason Durall, and the folks at Chaosium as part of a team of artists (including cover by Ossi Hiekkala) figuring out ways to bring the culture of the Sartarites to life, including some deep dives into its political structures and material culture. The book acts as a companion to the Lands of Runequest: Dragon Pass gazetteer (and several volumes of adventures!) to create a deep, multilayered setting for a fantasy game.
If this is the sort of thing that is up your alley, you can order the hardcover (with free pdf and a bonus pdf adventure, Welcome to Boldhome) at the Chaosium store or through your local game store.
You can also order the pdf alone (bonus adventure included) via DriveThru.
And lest I forget I should note that as always original art from this book (and others for RuneQuest, Pendragon, etc.) is available if you’re interested ( email for details).
Thanks, and enjoy!
